Welcome to Groningen!
Welcome to the Open Dutch Gay Swimming Championships 2011! We are proud to invite you to join us for the annual tournament which will be held this year in the beautifully renovated swimmingpool Helperzwembad on Saturday July 2. 120 swimmers from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Den Haag, Nijmegen, Eindhoven, Arnhem, Hamburg, Manchester and of course Groningen will join the battle. Zwem Goud - Gay and Lesbian Swimming Groningen will be your host!

Team Championships
The championships are an initative of the nine dutch gay swimming teams. Each year the tournament is held in a different city. Once every 2 years the tournament is a showplace of the battle between the teams. That is also the case in 2011 in Groningen. But as it an official FINA tournament, we strongly invite EVERYONE to come and compete, also individuals.
If you are planning on visiting the Eurogames in Rotterdam from 20–24 July, the the Open Dutch is a perfect preparation for it!

Gay Pride in Groningen
rozestadproef
The beautiful thing about this first weekend of July is that we do not only present a swimming tournament, but the 2011 Gay Pride (in Dutch 'Roze Zaterdag', litteraly translated as Pink Saturday) is held in Groningen also! That means a whole weekend of celebrtion, exhibitions, theatre, music, parties and more activities than can be listed here! So if you have ever thought about coming to Groningen, then this is the time to be there!

Program
On this website you can register for the swimming tournament and decide if you want to have hosted housing. There will be a registration (free of course), a big diner in the streets, parties, etc. For all of these activities you can register later on.
